IMSA will return to Lime Rock after three-year absence

The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge is getting its second headline race in 2027, and it will be the first IMSA-sanctioned race since 2023 at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut.

Lime Rock rules, but it’s quite short at 1.53 miles, so it’s hard to fit the grids of well-heeled championships there. I think it’s a fantastic sign for the health of U.S. racing that Lime Rock is finding a niche as a place where awesome mid-tier series like MPC and the NASCAR Truck Series can become headliners.
