MotoGP’s preseason testing at Sepang International Circuit concluded with a surprise performance from rookie sensation Pedro Acosta, who topped the timesheets on the final day and served notice to the championship’s established stars.

The 20-year-old Spanish rider adapted quickly to the premier class machinery, showing impressive pace on both race simulations and qualifying runs. His lap times were consistently within two-tenths of the fastest riders, suggesting he could be a podium contender from the season’s opening round.

Defending champion Jorge Martín finished second overall in the test, while six-time champion Marc Márquez impressed on his debut with Ducati’s factory team. Teams now head to Qatar for the final preseason test before the season-opening race in March.
