OGH Motorsports let an unlicensed driver test their GT4 at COTA

A team you will hopefully never hear of again called OGH Motorsports, running the #5 McLaren Artura GT4 at this weekend’s SRO America meeting at Circuit of the Americas, let someone drive in a test session who was neither registered for the event nor licensed to drive in SRO. The driver is “understood to be” in McLaren’s GT3 Junior Program.

The team was fined $10,000, which this article frames as “severe.” I don’t find that severe at all. Why was this team allowed to continue participating in this event?
